Gerald R. Ford, who assumed the presidency from Richard Nixon in 1974 and announced to a weary nation that “our long national nightmare is over,” died Tuesday at age 93. Former first lady Betty Ford, who made the announcement, did not give a cause of death.

In order to truly meet the artist , one should know the artist’s diciplines and applications. There is always the familiar question “What are you working on now?” In addition to web designing, I try to keep art and writing in my day to day existence. This particular feature was created at my hometown page which “in theory”will be updated to track progress in the various debraford123 sites. Below is a brief overview of the areas of art mediums that I work with. Additionally, there is a general plan and tentative schedule for the remaining 2006 calendar year, regarding art work and it’s relation to the DEBWEB. Separate editions will be submitted to answer those oh so familiar questions that I have answered many times.
Art -mediums and applications and schedules:
Drawing
on:
paper,
vellum,
clear film &
cloth
using:
pencil,
pencil color,
pastels,
chalks,
sepias pencils,
markers,
rapidiograph (free flowing ink with reservoir barrels),
or ink mediums.
Painting
on
paper,
canvas (both primed and raw),
cloth,
clayboards,
velvet,
wood,
walls:
using
water color,
oil,
acrylic,
stains,
latex,
or ink mediums.
Commissions
Work on 3 personal requests and artwork for local art showing is scheduled to begin in May 2006. Photographs for new works to be made available by June 2006.
Etching
on plate glass with chemical solutions.
Crafts
design and decoration of functional and novelty items.
Wood
Basic wood & cork work (carving, design burning),
Graphic design
including but not limited to: Image editing, enhancement, on screen design, element designs, color separation, filter applications, module and model design, character designs, cartooning, movie making with static frame series. Usage of a multiplicity of programs.
Software
As circumstance required that all software was needed to be replaced, evaluation of new graphic design suites is currently being done. The Software already at the artist’s disposal must be reconfigured adding/installing the necessary plugins and elements into the software environment. Basic and rudimentary designs can be digitally integrated into the existing websites with templates until the full graphic design lab is set up to express the artist’s range. The lack of a graphic design suite will be balanced with a knowledge of html coding to allow artwork to be brought into the sites, prior to designing new graphic elements. Specific software packages used will be added to the credits and appendicies
Woodwork:
basic carpentry, refinishing, & detailing. Only expected to be featured as basic show and tell. The artist no longer accept commissioned work in wood working for various reasons.
Upholstery
including redesign of style. Current project is simple recovering of dining chairs with hand painted raw canvas with a polyurethane over covering for protection. (Pictures will be made available and links to the page will be given once stored.)
Sewing, crocheting, applicades, and cloth inlay designs.
Currently not accepting any offers for stitch work or shirt designs, or holiday tablecloths. Pictures of previous design work have been obtained and a limited number of designs will be made available at a later date.
Software development
sdk’s, web building, blog design for websites and CD/DVD mediums. Currently evaluating all new software suites. Software currently in use will be listed in the credit’s section at www.debraford123.com A variety of test designs are being used at the various debraford123 sites and blogs to test the compatibility of platforms and loading speeds of web pages. Initial sites are designed with open source and free design element skills and tips on how to create functional designs will be passed on as free information at the local networks on which they were used. Effort will be made to continue to supply useful tips for the basic user, even after the main site evolves into graphic sophistication. The continual usage of blogs will be made to share information that may be created else where in environments not compatible with all users. Currently training in programs known to have system requirements not available to all users. Care will be taken to continue to use international standards when possible.
Cooking & baking
are personal creative expression of the artist and will not be made available on the website to taste or smell. ( I couldn’t resist that one)
Flash animation and mini movies
will be produced made available in the latter part of 2006, generated by Debra Ford.
Items in the areas of
microscopy &
geologic mapping
will be limited to simple image transformations of public domain images throughout 2006. There is no specified date to generate new maps at this time. Not accepting “new” geologic requests at this time. Continued work on any previous projects will be evaluated case by case. Please refrain from requesting geologic mapping at this time. Mapping software and information may be made available for visitors to use at the main site later in the year. Links to geologic sites and organizations are available on the “Big Links page”
Theology
as it relates to the artist expression will not be discussed at this site. Election to discuss this topic is solely up to the discretion of the artist. Beliefs do not effect the usability of quality information which is factually sound. Information passed on be researched by this source before doing so.
However, a high ethics standard may be reflected in the verbiage used in articles written by the artist.
Languages (beginning study of)
has previously been used to do translations of poetry and prose done by Debra Ford.
Dancing
is the artistic expression which only occurs in my living room and you will not get to share it on line. In lieu, there is music at 3 of the debraford123 sites if you want to dance for your personal expression.
Playing games/Building games writing:
currently evaluating 2 of the 9 game platforms that are currently on our PC systems.
Game creation not anticipated to commence before end of 2006 as other priorities are pending.
2006
is a year to re - establish the tools and studio functionality of the artist Debra Ford in addition to reestablishing a new business plan (in progress)inclusive of repurchasing all office supplies. With every new venture, there is a significant learning curve and period of study and development. It is important for an artist to have a rounded skill base for times like these. There is no insurance policy that covers the thousand notebooks of expression for 40 years or sketches and character developed over 15 years. There is no insurance policy that replaces your address books or contact lists or personal “how to lists” that made you more dynamic than you would normally be without them. Art and writing are very much forms of expression. Disaster situations are not always easy to separate in one’s mind set. Experience has shown me that darker times produce materials of a darker nature, and oft time a colder image regardless of the detail and accuracy of the work. Creation of art has it’s healing power for the one in the distressed state. The earliest works done since August 2005 have been much more physically demanding along the line of personal living environment. The environment in which art is created for me has a lot to do with the quality of expression. If you follow the sites you will be able to pick up on the mood and level of relaxation or comfort reflected in the appearance of the sites over a period of time. The basic color schemes on the website will eventually be changed to more soothing and well balanced looks. And I apologize for the quality of images used on the sites in the early stages. Using scans of copies with the cheapest equipment I could find until I can rebuild an office and an art studio, images have been used which I normally would not consider high enough quality for submission.

Feeds
of non commercial nature from this site will be sent to the sister sites through DEBWEBLOG (www.debraford123.com/blog1 )
each of the remote sites will be updated with fresh information on the local networks.
This log differs from DEBWEBLOG (community service) in that it may also contain specific post related to Debra Ford Enterprises which handles the business aspects.
Those of you who have subscribed to feeds previously are welcomed to subscribe here as well.
The advantages of subscribing with a feed reader or browser is that the
Information is only updated when there is new material
No mail notifications are sent.
Your browser feature may have the option to notify you of new feeds but those mailings come from your browser server settings and not the source of the feed.
If your home page receives news daily
you can add the blogs directly to your home page.
This feature is set up for pages offered through any internet provider pages selected as a home page.
By taking the time to set up the “My Page” options at your home page there is a section for news feeds.
There is a place where you are given the option to “add url.”
The URL is the address to the blog or news feed. By typing “www.debraford123.com/blog1” for DEBWEBLOG which will remain a public feed.
in the future will be divided into a private feed for registered users for secure content.
Notice will be given when the final steps have been made for secured site usage.
Those who have signed the guest book will receive a single one time notice when the secure site is opened.
After adding a blog item as a news feed at your home page
the updates automatically show up at your home page as a news feature.
If no new information is posted it will show “content unavailable” or something to that nature on those days.
A link directly to the site is automatically placed in the news feed section if you decided to visit. That way you don’t have to remember the url’s to the various sites.
Effort is being made to put all of the Url’s to the debraford123 sister sites as links to each other creating a DEBWEB with each sister site having a unique focus and theme.
